Winter Trainer Nights
We're Extending Through March 2016. Same details as below.
Riding the trainer is a lot more fun with others than on your own. Starting Tuesday Night, January 19th, Team NeighborLink is organizing a trainer night at Mad Apple CrossFit. Arrive by 7:30pm to get setup and sign an athlete waiver. Training workout begins at 7:45p. Each session will last between 45-60minutes and we've got a series of training videos we'll work through this winter. If you've got your own training plan but just want to setup and ride with others, come anyway.
Mad Apple CrossFit is located at 3630 Illinois Rd #100 - If you're heading West on Jefferson towards Jefferson Pointe shopping center, take the "Y" to the right & the drive into Mad Apple is immediately to the right at that junction. The building is towards the back and the sign is on the building.
Anyone is welcome to join us and go at the pace you want to go. We'll see how the first couple of weeks go and judge whether we need to cap the total number of riders each week and create a signup sheet. They have a large space and this is after their last class, so we should be in good shape.
Mad Apple CrossFit folks without bikes - Consider joining us on one of the assault bikes or a rowing machine. An hour of high-intensity cardio on one of those machines will likely be harder than a bike & trainer. We'd love for you to join us.
Right now these sessions are free. If you think it's of value, we'll gladly except a donation to support NeighborLink projects or to give Mad Apple as a thank you gift for letting Team NL use the space. If we end up paying for some specific training curriculum, we may ask for a donation to help cover that. Otherwise, we're simply trying to create some connection point for local cyclists, raise some awareness for Team NL, and introduce folks to Mad Apple, which provides incredible training through CrossFit.
Watch this website, Facebook, and/or Twitter for any schedule updates or cancellations due to bad weather. If Mad Apple is open, we'll be there every Tuesday through February and likely March.
