Night Moves #7 - Race Recap

Race #7 was our busiest race yet this season with over 50 runners. We set up shop right in front of The Golden and set runners on course to some of the "greatest hits" spots around downtown Fort Wayne. We threw in a little challenge in at the end as runners had to run up 5 floors of the parking garage, then one flight of stairs to end on the beautiful rooftop of the Ash building. It may have been a push, but the end view was worth it.

Nolan Wojtowicz and another runner blazed way ahead of the rest, but in the end, Nolan pulled ahead, finished in 21:03 and won our customized golden hammer. The 1st place ladies runner, Dawn Winicker, finished strong and not far behind, finishing in 24:30 to take other golden prize.

Our friends at The Golden treated everyone to either a special "NeighborLink" drink or a beer. A great ending to a great run. We are so thankful to have partners and friends like The Golden who host us, give us beautiful rooftop access, and serve us drinks.

Night Moves events have helped us fund 4 projects in 2016 so far. None of that would have been possible without runners who show up. We hope you'll consider doing a future race and/or showing up for a project soon.

Stay golden!
