Team NeighborLink is grateful you’ve decided to participate in Race #2 of the 2018 Night Moves season!

Below are some final details about the event that should give you some direction. If you sill have questions not being answered, send us an email and we’ll reply as soon as we can. If you still have friends that want to join, encourage them to show up!

Event Proceeds: 100% of the proceeds from this run will go toward a our wheel chair ramp fund. We are now up to 37 ramps built and repaired. Let’s keep that fund growing and # of ramps growing.

Check-In/Start Location: One Lucky Guitar in the parking lot. We will start here and end here. Click this link for a google map location:

Event Timing: Check-In opens at 9:15p, Race Welcome & Final Instructions, 9:50p - Race Starts at 10:00pm

Bathrooms: There will be options within OLG.

Sponsors: OLG is a design & marketing boutique full of wonderful people that love to bike, run, and promote all things cool in downtown. Matt Kelley and his staff have not only been outstanding to work with, but helpful to Neighborlink FW.  We’ll have a tent up, they’ll have live music playing by Jared Andrews, and we’ll have some food & beverages for the post-event. BYOB

Headlamps & Flashlights: We would HIGHLY recommend bringing a flashlight or headlamp as you feel comfortable. There are portions of the course that will be poorly lit. We will do our best to keep putting out glow sticks, but please bring a flashlight or headlamp if it makes you feel more comfortable. We will also have a few cyclists doing a continual survey of the course to help people along the way.

Course Map: We will begin on E. Douglas Street and head north.... Wind through downtown, hit up West Central, and make the return trip with a winding return past Parkview Field.

Course Marking & Direction: We will volunteers/cyclists with flashing lights pointing you in the right direction. For some of the sections of the course, we will have glow sticks to help guide you along. Also, please be aware and respectful of other runners.

Open Course: This course will be an open course, which means there will be streets to watch for cars and traffic. Be aware of traffic and use your common sense when crossing streets just like you do when you run on your own. Keep in mind Germanfest will be going on so be mindful and polite if there are groups of people.

Timing & Results: We will have a mass start and a running stopwatch as a means to make sure the top teams get an official time and we can determine a winner, but we won’t have a fancy timing system to keep your time for you. This is a fun run and not a competitive event. If timing is important to you, then I imagine you already have a running watch or GPS that will keep that for you.

Winners: We have a fancy pair of customized hammers for the winning male and female. Our goal with winner trophies is to give you a tool that you’ll actual use at home and/or on a NL project one day in the future.

Parking: is available in the OLG parking lot off of E. Douglas St. as well as parking on E. Douglas St.

Rain Policy: The forecast looks like no rain. The event will still go on if we do have some showers, but we do take everyones safety into consideration and will cancel the event if it is storming bad enough.  It should be high-80’'s at the time of the race. If for some reason the event needs to be canceled due to weather, we will give each participant the opportunity to transfer to a different Night Moves date or just let it be a donation to NeighborLink. Otherwise be sure to hydrate!!

NeighborLink Swag We’ll have socks, new shirts, and new running shirts available to purchase as well as loads of other great NL gear! It is our goal this year with free entry for our racers to sell more gear and encourage donations. By doing this you can buy, at a discounted rate, the gear you would really want and actually wear at the event.

Bring Friends: If you have friends, family, and an others that want to come just bring them along. We can always use more people for volunteers on the course!
